Course

Mountbellew Golf Course, which was founded in 1929, is a lovely mature parkland course, and was extended in 2008 from 9 to 18 holes.

It is par 71, and is both challenging and scenic. The river and lake feature on the 3rd, 5th, 6th, 8th, 13th, 14th and 15th holes, and add greatly to the beauty of this natural park where wildlife is observed in harmony with the golfer.

4 par 5’s provide a good opportunity for the long hitters but, strategically positioned feature bunkers and water traps make ball positioning of paramount importance in shooting a low score.

The course has been described as the gem of the West and, with its friendly clubhouse and renowned pint of plain, it is well worth a visit
